Dr. Rubellite Kawena Johnson Collection
Kupuna, Rubellite Kawena Johnson was Emeritus Professor of Hawaiian, Department of Indo-Pacific Languages and Literatures at the University of HawaiĠi, from 1967 to 1993. She is an expert in Hawaiian History, Culture and Religion. Ruby taught many of our people about Hawaiian issues and affairs who are active in Hawaiian politics, today. Dr. Johnson is prolific writer and scholar who has published many books and papers on Hawaiian history, culture language and lore. Rudy has also sailed the world. We are lucky to have Ruby on our team, advising, coaching and teaching. Here is a small collection of her work. We will add more as it becomes available.
